【Intended use】 This product is used for in vitro qualitative detection of cocaine metabolite  benzoylecgonine (BE) in human urine. Cocaine (the free base of cocaine, commonly known as "crack") is a central  nervous system stimulant, which has a typical psychoactive effect. The usual  methods of use are cigarette smoking, "sucking" on tin foil, or intravenous  injection. Cocaine users are prone to physical dependence, leading to abuse.  After taking cocaine, only 1% is excreted in the urine as unchanged original  drug, of which 25%-40% becomes benzoylecgonine, 18%-22% becomes  ecgonine methyl ester, and 2%-3% becomes ecgonine excreted in urine. 

【Testing principle】 This product adopts colloidal gold immunochromatography technology and  the principle of competitive inhibition method to qualitatively detect  benzoylecgonine (BE) in human urine. The detection area (T) and the quality  control area (C) on the nitrocellulose membrane are respectively coated with  BE-BSA conjugate and goat anti-chicken IgY, and the binding pad contains  chicken IgY-BE antibody gold label. During the test, if the concentration of  BE in the urine sample is less than 300 ng/ml, the colloidal gold marker of  chicken IgY-BE antibody cannot be fully bound. The unbound colloidal gold  marker will interact with the BE-BSA conjugate immobilized on the nitrocellulose membrane during the chromatography, and a purple-red band appears  at the detection area (T). If the concentration of BE in the urine sample is  higher than 300 ng/ml, all the colloidal gold marker of chicken IgY-BE  antibody are all bound, so that no red band appears at the detection area (T).  Regardless of whether BE is present in the urine sample, a red band will  appear at the quality control area (C). The purple-red band is used to  determine whether there are enough urine samples and whether the chromatography process meets the normal standards, and also serve as internal  control standards for the test kit.
